The popular Saks Fifth Ave.
will reopen on October 15, according to the restaurant’s website.
The move comes after two months of delays and public outcry.
Saks was the subject of an investigation by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs after a video surfaced of an employee yelling racial slurs and threatening another employee.
Sarsaparilla, which is also owned by Saks, has been in the news in recent months over its treatment of African-American customers.
The company announced on October 8 that it would close for renovations.
